Illinois Chapter

Hi, my name is Oviya Muthukumaran, and I'm a junior at Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville, Illinois. In my free time, I enjoy baking, dancing, and spending time with family. I'm the president of the IL chapter at Teens Teach Technology and I am thrilled to be a part of the team. I joined this program because of my rewarding experience in teaching my grandma how to use technology and the impact it had on her during these unprecedented times. Hence, I decided to help other senior citizens who are undergoing such a struggle and am now part of Teens Teach Tech!

Hi! My name is Salma Khan, and I'm currently a junior at Neuqua Valley High School in Illinois. I am part of the public relations team at Teens Teach Technology, which means that I help spread our mission by contacting nursing homes and libraries to set up appointments. I joined Teens Teach Technology because I thought it was a unique opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of those who may feel unseen or unheard, especially during these challenging times. I also wanted to be a part of this program because it is very relevant to current issues that the world is facing, with technology becoming an increasingly important aspect of our lives in feeling connected, due to COVID-19. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, spending time with family, baking, listening to music, and singing!

Hi. My name is Varad Rasalkar, and I am a junior at Waubonsie Valley High School in Naperville, Illinois. I am a part of the Content Creators Team for the Illinois Chapter of Teens Teach Technology. I joined Teens Teach Technology, primarily, because I understand the importance of technology in our digitally driven world, especially in these unprecedented times. Teens Teach Technology is a great organization allowing me to educate and share ideas with the community. After learning the difficulties of operating technology with minimal assistance, specifically from talking to my grandparents across the world, I realized that joining TTT would be a great way to facilitate these needs across our population. In my spare time, I enjoy playing tennis, spending time with my family, and traveling.
